Introduction

Applications by candidates are submitted from the 1st to the 10th of September of each academic year, following a call published on the websites of the cooperating Departments by June 30 of the previous academic year. The call specifies the time period within which applications must be submitted and lists the supporting documents that must accompany them.

The selection process of candidates is completed by September 30 of each academic year.

The selection of admitted students is based on the total score resulting from the combined evaluation of the criteria provided in Law 4485/2017, as follows:

2. a) Degree grade, multiplied by the coefficient 2.5 (maximum 25 points).
3. b) Average grade of three (3) relevant undergraduate courses, defined each year in the programme call, multiplied by the coefficient 1.5, with a maximum of fifteen (15) points.
4. c) Oral interview, with a maximum of twenty (20) points.
5. d) Previous research activity or participation in student mobility programmes, with a maximum of ten (10) points.
6. e) Relevant (to the Programme) professional experience, with a maximum of fourteen (14) points.
7. f) Certified knowledge of a foreign language (English, French or German) according to the Council of Europe system accepted by ASEP, with a total of up to five (5) points. Good knowledge (B2) receives one (1) point, very good knowledge (C1) three (3) points, and excellent knowledge (C2) five (5) points. It is clarified that the maximum score is five (5) points, without the possibility of exceeding it due to knowledge of multiple foreign languages.
8. g) Possession of a second university degree, with one (1) point.
9. h) Possession of a postgraduate degree from a Faculty of Law, Engineering, or Agriculture/Forestry/Natural Environment, with two (2) points.
10. i) Possession of a doctoral degree from a Faculty of Law, Engineering, or Agriculture/Forestry/Natural Environment, with eight (8) points.

A prerequisite for registration is successful participation in an interview before a three-member committee of professors teaching in the Programme, appointed by the Special Interdepartmental Committee (SIC). Certified good knowledge (level B2) of a foreign language (English, French or German) according to the Council of Europe system accepted by ASEP is also required.

The selection of admitted students is carried out by a three-member committee of professors from the cooperating Departments, appointed by decision of the SIC. The list of successful candidates is ratified by the SIC.

 

Admitted Students

Graduates of Law, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering, and Forestry and Natural Environment Departments of universities in Greece or recognized equivalent institutions abroad are admitted to the Programme.

The number of admitted postgraduate students may not exceed twenty (20) per year, except in cases of ties, and is distributed as follows:

• ten (10) graduates of Law,
• five (5) graduates of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering,
• five (5) graduates of Forestry and Natural Environment.

In case of equal ranking, candidates tied with the last successful candidate of each category are admitted, provided they do not exceed 20% of the number of admitted students. Therefore, even in cases of ties in all categories, the number of admitted students may not exceed twenty-four (24).

If the number of admitted candidates in one or more categories is lower than allocated, the number of admitted students from another category may be increased by decision of the SIC, up to the total of twenty (20) students.

 

The Programme

Programme Description

The Programme is structured into two (2) academic semesters. Students must attend and be examined in six (6) courses in the first semester and four (4) courses in the second semester. The postgraduate dissertation is prepared during the summer period.

Attendance is mandatory and requires physical presence. The language of instruction and dissertation writing is Greek.

The total number of credits (ECTS) required is seventy-five (75). Each ECTS corresponds to twenty-five (25) hours of workload. The Programme is intensive (two semesters and summer period). Courses take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

Duration of Studies

The Programme is intensive and lasts one year (two semesters and a summer period).

 

Degree

The Programme awards a Postgraduate Diploma (MSc) titled:
“Cadastre: Legal, Technical and Environmental Dimensions.”

 

Tuition Fees

For students admitted in the academic year 2021–2022, tuition fees are set at a total of three thousand euros (3000€).

Students are exempt from tuition fees if they meet the income criteria defined by law, provided they have not received a similar exemption for participation in another postgraduate programme. Exempted students may not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the total number of admitted students.

If eligible students exceed this percentage, selection is based on ranking, starting from those with the lowest income.

Applications for tuition fee exemption are submitted to the Secretariat after completion of the selection process of admitted students.
